HMD is expanding its budget smartphone portfolio with the debut of the HMD Asha 305 in the Philippines. It's positioned as an ultra-affordable lite smartphone that aims to bridge the gap between traditional and modern smartphones, with a unique feature like a replaceable battery.
HMD Asha 305 Specifications and Features
The HMD Asha 305 packs a 5-inch LCD screen with a 480 x 854-pixel resolution. The smartphone features a traditional smartphone design with large bezels and a plastic construction throughout. The phone's back boasts a dual-tone finish and comes in two colourways: Green and Black.

Optics-wise, the HMD Asha 305 boasts a 2 MP rear camera with LED flash and another 2 MP front snapper for selfies. Powering the internals is a removable 2,500mAh battery that claims to deliver up to 32 hours of standby battery life.
Instead of the standard Android, the Asha 305 comes with Pulse OS. It is built on top of AOSP but is optimised for ultra-budget phones to keep things running more smoothly.
The phone comes bundled with a suite of over 100 lightweight applications, including popular apps like WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook Lite, Instagram Lite and TikTok Lite.

Connectivity options include dual 4G SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and a 3.5mm headphone jack. HMD also includes a charger, a USB Type-C cable and a removable battery in the box.
