HMD introduced its Pulse Pro smartphone back in April 2024. Now, after more than a year, it looks like the sequel is finally inching closer to launch. The HMD Pulse 2 Pro has now landed in Geekbench, revealing its processor and other key details.
HMD preps the Pulse 2 Pro with a Unisoc chip
A new HMD smartphone has been listed on Geekbench with the HMD Global HMD Pearl model number. It has managed to rack up a modest 446 points in the single-core test, with 1,495 points in the multi-core test. It also reveals the presence of 4 GB RAM and Android 15. There is no doubt that the upcoming phone is a budget-centric offering and the suspect seems to be the HMD Pulse 2 Pro.

As for the processor, the listing mentions an octa-core cluster with 6 cores clocked at 1.61 GHz and 2 cores clocked at 1.82 GHz. Now, while the CPU architecture closely resembles the Unisoc T615 processor, it is in fact the rebranded Unisoc T7250 chipset.
It barely manages to differentiate itself from the T615 in the fact that it comes with higher-clocked ARM Cortex A75 cores. This is also a 12 nm entry-level SoC and has been used only twice in India so far. The Poco C71 and the Redmi A5 4G are the only phones with this SoC. Hence, looks like the HMD Pulse 2 Pro will become the third smartphone to rock the T7250 chipset.

As for the other details of the smartphone, a previous Pulse 2 Pro design and specs leak revealed some of the key details of the smartphone. It showed off an extended camera plateau, giving off vibes similar to those of the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max.
The phone is said to house a dual camera setup at the back with a 50 MP main sensor. At the front, the Pulse 2 Pro could rock a 6.7-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It can also feature a 5,000mAh battery with 20W USB-C charging and an IP54 rating for dust and water protection.
That said, at the time of writing, these are speculations and should be taken into consideration with a pinch of salt. With the 2025 year-end fast approaching the smartphone could either see a late December launch window or an early 2026 one.
