Fresh leaks have revealed the specifications for Honor's upcoming performance-focused GT 2 series, expected to launch in China this December. The lineup could feature the latest from Qualcomm and massive batteries.
Honor GT 2 Series could pack over 9,000mAh battery
According to Digital Chat Station, the Honor GT 2 Pro could arrive with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, whereas the standard GT 2 may feature Snapdragon 8 Elite. This also debunks the previous rumour that the standard model would also use the newer flagship chipset.

A key highlight of the series appears to be the battery life. Responding to a follower's query about the battery size, the tipster revealed that the devices could feature a 9,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging.
Both models are also topped to feature a 6.83-inch flat 1.5K OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. They may feature a 50 MP primary camera, alongside a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and an IP68/69 rating.

As for the release date, DCS, when responding to another comment, revealed the devices could launch "before the spring festival", which is before February 17, 2026. Both phones are expected to run MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 out of the box.
The large 9,000mAh battery doesn't come as a surprise, as Honor is also preparing to launch the Power 2 with a 10,000mAh battery. It is also expected to arrive in Q1 2026.
The specifications of the Honor GT 2 series position the devices as a powerful follow-up to Honor GT. The firm is also expected to launch its 500 series this month in 2025. While we don't have the exact release date of the GT 2 series, it should be unveiled as we inch closer to the rumoured launch timeline.
