When it comes to value for money mid-range phones, Honor has managed to release several good smartphones lately, under its "Honor X" series. The Honor X70 launched last year back in June and now it seems like the brand is prepping its sequel, the Honor X80, with primary focus on display, battery and camera.
Honor X80 Could Launch in June with a Massive Battery
A new Weibo post made by credible leaker Digital Chat Station (DCS) has revealed that Honor is internally prepping the Honor X80 to launch in China sometime in June 2026. If true, this means that the brand is preponing the launch by one month since the Honor X70 debuted in July 2025.

In terms of specs, the smartphone is said to feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K LTPS display with a flat screen. This will make it a tab bit larger than the X70's 6.79-inch panel. While DCS has not mentioned the display type, we can expect the phone to bring an AMOLED display.
The battery capacity is where things get interesting, as the leak claims a 10,000mAh cell capacity for the X80. This will bring a sizable 1,700mAh jump from the X70 and will also become the first "Honor X" series phone to feature such a large capacity. Charging is also seemingly getting bumped from 80W to 90W.
For performance, DCS claims a Snapdragon 6 series chipset for the X80. While the tipster has not explicitly revealed which one, we believe it could be the newly launched Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, since the X70 shipped with the previous-gen Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset.

It is expected to bring a 21% faster GPU and some flagship gaming features like Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0, Snapdragon Game Super Resolution, and Qualcomm Frames Per Second 3.0 technology.
As for the rest, the Honor X80 is said to bring "drop-resistant body materials," likely military-grade certification and launch in four colour options - Lightning Red, Mystic Black, Moon Shadow White and Vibrant Orange.
That said, at the time of writing, Honor has not officially confirmed Honor X80 yet. Hence, take this development with a pinch of salt. However, one thing is certain. Honor has been releasing all new phones with close to 10,000mAh battery and beyond. Even the Honor Win Turbo, scheduled to launch today, on May 29, 2026, is said to bring a 10,080mAh battery.
