Huawei's Mate 80 series is reportedly launching soon in China. While the brand has not officially confirmed the lineup's existence yet, a new report has revealed quite an interesting detail about the upcoming smartphones.
Huawei Mate 80 series with 20 GB RAM incoming
According to tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), the upcoming Huawei Mate 80 series will pack as much as 20 GB of onboard RAM. Paired with virtual RAM expansion support, the overall RAM capacity can reach up to 24 GB.

If true, this will make the Mate 80 lineup one of the few to offer such massive RAM capacity inside. Over the past year, the standardised capacity has reached 16 GB tops. This is what we see inside current flagship phones like the OnePlus 15, which launched in India yesterday.
While the leak has not mentioned which model in particular, we believe that the top-of-the-line Mate 80 Pro+ and the Mate 80 RS will ship with this amount of RAM. Currently, leaks indicate the presence of a standard Mate 80 and a Mate 80 Pro alongside the other two options. So, while these can max out at 16 GB of RAM, the top two models will likely feature 20 GB.

Aside from that, the leak mentions the presence of the brand's latest 4nm Kirin 9030 chip powering the Mate 80 lineup. Other than that, no other detail has surfaced at the time of writing.
An earlier Huawei Mate 80 Pro live image leak gave us a glimpse into the upcoming lineup's design choice. It revealed a bright yellow model with flat edges, curved back and rounded corners. The phone features a large circular camera island in the top-centre position and is home to a triple camera setup.
That said, early speculation indicates that the Huawei Mate 80 China launch will happen in November 2025. So, expect to hear more on that in the coming days.
