Apple is rumoured to launch the iPhone 17 lineup in September 2025 and with just a few weeks to go, there's not much to uncover about the upcoming devices as we've seen plenty of rumours and leaks. Now, a new piece of information gives an idea about the pricing of iPhone 17 Pro and as expected, it's slightly more expensive than the iPhone 16 Pro.
As per leaker Instant Digital, the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to have a starting price of $1,049, which is $50 more than the iPhone 16 Pro's base model. However, the catch is users will get 256 GB of storage, that's twice the amount of storage found in the entry model of the iPhone 16 Pro.

For added context, the iPhone 16 Pro launched for a starting price of $999 last year for the lowest storage variant – 128 GB. If the latest information is true, the iPhone 17 Pro appears to be a better deal over the iPhone 16 Pro's 256 GB model, which was initially released for $1099.
The development feels familiar to what Apple did with the iPhone 15 Pro Max and later the iPhone 16 Pro Max, both of which didn't release with 128 GB storage. At the same time, the company hiked the price of the starting model from $1,099 to $1,199.
The leaker didn't share the price or storage details about the rest of the devices in the iPhone 17 series. We also don't know for sure whether Apple plans to discontinue the 128GB storage on the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air as well. In case that happens, we can expect another price hike coming to the standard iPhone 17.
Apple is yet to confirm the official announcement date for its iPhone 17 series but several rumours point to a September 9, 2025 launch event. Besides the upcoming iPhones, the Cupertino company os also expected to unveil the Watch Ultra 3, Watch Series 11, Watch SE (3rd generation) and AirPods Pro 3.
