iQOO's number series smartphones are known for their flagship-grade offering. The iQOO 13 launched in December 2024 in India and globally with specs like the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, QHD+ AMOLED display, a 6,000mAh battery and more. Now, the next flagship iteration of the iQOO 13 has been officially confirmed to launch later this year.
iQOO took to its official Weibo account to announce the "iQOO 15" moniker. Yes, the direct successor to the iQOO 13 will be the iQOO 15. For those wondering why iQOO skipped the number "14", it is because the digit "4" is considered unlucky in China. This is the same reason why the OnePlus 15 is said to arrive after the OnePlus 13.

However, the brand has not given us a glimpse into the smartphone yet. iQOO is kicking off the iQOO 15 promotional campaign by launching an “experience officer” recruitment drive. This will be part of the annual ChinaJoy event that happens every year in China and will kick off on August 1, 2025.
A special 5v5 “Honor of Kings” gaming tournament will happen at the ChinaJoy iQOO booth. Participants will be eligible to win the upcoming iQOO 15 once it is releases. However, the device will not be showcased at the event. The winners will only receive their units once the device is released.

Since this is the first official confirmation of the iQOO 15, barely any details have been made official. If we go by leaks, we are still three months away from the device potentially breaking cover in October 2025.
Early specification leaks indicate the presence of an iQOO 15 Ultra as well, apart from the base 15. Both devices will reportedly feature a 6.85-inch QHD+ 144 Hz LTPO OLED screen. The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will more than likely power the lineup and can get paired with a 7,000mAh battery.
There are also whispers of a triple 50 MP rear camera setup with the iQOO 15 series. It will include a 50 MP 3x periscope telephoto mid-sized sensor along with a main and ultra-wide angle lens.
Apart from this, both devices are in-line to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and wireless charging support. The one thing differentiating the 15 Ultra from the base 15 will be the presence of shoulder trigger buttons and an active cooling fan, much like the Oppo K13 Turbo series that launched in China recently.
With that said, since these are all speculative details, take them with a grain of salt. Since iQOO has begun promoting the iQOO 15, expect to hear more official details very soon.
