The iQOO 15 has been a smashing success, but iQOO's not done. The brand is known for launching an "Ultra" variant of its flagships each year with beefed-up specifications and the iQOO 15 Ultra is right on the horizon. The brand has now teased the smartphone, revealing its launch time frame.

iQOO 15 could feature Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

iQOO's official Weibo account has released a post, which confirms the iQOO 15 Ultra moniker. The post from iQOO also suggests the phone will launch before the Chinese New Year, i.e., February 17, 2026. This suggests an imminent launch, likely scheduled for late January or early February 2026.

Adding weight to this timeline is an unidentified Vivo phone that was recently spotted on China's SRRC certification. The phone with model number V2545A appeared signaling the hardware is ready for the market.

Unlike the standard iQOO 15, the Ultra will predominantly target a niche audience of competitive gamers and those who want the best gaming experience. Prior reports pointed toward the phone featuring dedicated shoulder triggers for easier controls and a built-in active cooling fan for excellent sustained peak performance.

Under the hood, the smartphone could feature a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate. Powering the smartphone could be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset alongside a 7,000mAh battery. The phone could charge at 100W wired and 50W wireless speeds.

The phone is expected to feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, a 50 MP triple camera array and a rugged body with an IP68/69 dust and water resistance rating. It's expected to ship with OriginOS 6 features based on Android 16 out of the box.

While we don't have the exact launch date yet, more information about the same is expected to be revealed as we inch closer to the internally set launch date. Besides, we should also hear more about the phone's specifications, so stay tuned.
