iQOO 15R India Launch Date Confirmed

We already knew that the iQOO 15 was set to get a toned-down and more affordable cousin with the iQOO 15R. However, a concrete launch date was under wraps until now. The iQOO 15R launch date in India has finally been confirmed and it's around a month away.

iQOO 15R India Launch Date Set for February 24

Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO India, took to his official X handle to confirm that the iQOO 15R will be launching in India on February 24, 2026. The banner image he shared also confirmed that the phone will be an Amazon exclusive. 

The banner also showcases the iQOO 15R's checkered design in blue, which was already teased earlier. We also see those antenna bands, suggesting the phone will arrive with a metal frame. It's expected to arrive as a rebranded iQOO Z11 Turbo which launched in China last year. A recently spotted iQOO 15R Geekbench listing strongly suggests the same as well. 

iQOO 15R Expected Specifications

While the brand hasn't confirmed any of the iQOO 15R specs, going by leaks and reports, we can expect it to arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The chipset could be paired with up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB of storage.

Additionally, the phone could feature a 6.59-inch 144 Hz AMOLED display. For optics, the iQOO 15R could sport a 200 MP primary rear camera with an 8 MP ultra-wide lens. At the front, there could be a 32 MP selfie shooter.

The iQOO 15R is expected to pack a massive 7,600mAh battery with 100W fast charging, potentially making it one of the best battery backup phones out there. Other expected specs and features include IP68 + IP69 ratings and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

However, note that these are mere speculations, and the brand hasn't exactly confirmed any of them. But with the iQOO 15R launch date in India now confirmed, we can expect the brand to start revealing the phone's key specs anytime soon.
