Summary
- iQOO 15R is confirmed to launch in India "soon" as what seems like a rebranded iQOO Z11 Turbo.
- The smartphone will come with a checkered back, flat frame and dual rear cameras.
- iQOO15R specs could include 6.59-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and 200 MP main camera.
The iQOO 15 launched in India back in November 2025 as a full-blown flagship and now, the brand appears to be working on a more accessible cousin. Dubbed the iQOO 15R, the upcoming smartphone is set to bring the core flagship experience at a slightly toned-down level. Most importantly, this is the first time iQOO is introducing an "R" variant with its premium lineup in India.
iQOO 15R to launch in India as rebranded iQOO Z11 Turbo
iQOO India CEO Nipun Maurya took to X to reveal the first iQOO smartphone of 2026 for India, the iQOO 15R. The teaser also reveals that the iQOO 15R will be available for purchase exclusively via Amazon.
Additionally, the teaser has also given us our first look at the iQOO 15R design. The phone will arrive in a checkered back blue variant, alongside a new squircle camera deco at the top with dual cameras. Thanks to the presence of antenna bands, we also get to know that the iQOO 15 will sport a metal frame.

From the image, it is clear that the iQOO 15R is indeed going to be a rebranded iQOO Z11 Turbo. This could very well make this India's second Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 smartphone and could go head-to-head with the OnePlus 15R.

Since the iQOO Z11 Turbo China launch happened a short while back, we expect the iQOO 15R to bear identical specifications:
- 6.59-inch 1.5K 144 Hz LTPS AMOLED display with 5,000 nits peak brightness
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
- Up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage
- Android 16-based OriginOS 6
- 200 MP main camera
- IP68 + IP69 rating
- 7600mAh battery with 100W fast USB-C charging
- Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers
That being said, there is no doubt that the iQOO 15R will pack some really quality hardware. The real question is how much it will cost. Given that the phone will compete directly with the OnePlus 15R, there is a high chance it can be a sub Rs 45,000 offering. However, that remains to be seen.
