iQOO has pulled the wraps off its latest performance-focused smartphone, the iQOO Neo 12, in China. Built primarily around performance, the smartphone ticks most of the boxes, positioning itself as an all-round offering.
iQOO Neo 12 Specifications and Features
Starting with the design, the iQOO Neo 12 features a rectangular camera island at the back consisting of two lenses and an opening for air intake. The flash is located at the top-right corner, away from the module, and the overall design is pretty neat, even from the front.
The front of the iQOO Neo 12 houses a flat 6.83-inch 2K LTPO OLED display with an 185 Hz refresh rate. It maxes out at 2,200 nits of peak brightness and possesses a staggering 5,000 Hz instant touch sampling rate.
Powering the Neo 12 is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It's Qualcomm's previous-generation octa-core processor built on TSMC's 3nm process. Complementing it are up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Additionally, the phone also features iQOO's self-developed Q3 chip alongside an advanced Ice Dome cooling system with an 8,200 mm² vapour chamber, equipped with a built-in 59-blade active cooling fan with three-speed intelligent control.
Keeping the internals running is a whopping 9,000mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging. The phone also supports bypass charging and reverse wired charging to charge external accessories.
Optics-wise, the phone features a 50 MP IMX921 main sensor with OIS alongside an 8 MP ultrawide lens. There's a 16 MP front camera for selfies.
The phone also carries an IP68/69 water resistance rating and ships with OriginOS 7 features based on Android 17 out of the box.
When it comes to connectivity, the device covers most of the things. It supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and comes with a USB 2.0 Type-C port. Security is handled by an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

The base 8 GB + 256 GB variant of the iQOO Neo 12 starts at 4,199 Chinese yuan (approx. Rs 62,000). The phone is offered in three colours – Shadow Black, Frostblade Blue and Confrontation.
