Lava launched the Lava Shark 2 5G in India back in May 2026. Now, after four months the brand is back with a more premium version, the Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G. The phone keeps the same processor and battery as the non-pro model but upgrades the camera, RAM, and storage.
Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G Specifications and Features
The Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G gets a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels. The panel supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and goes all the way up to 550 nits of peak brightness.
Under the hood, Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G is powered by the Unisoc T8200 chipset, built on a 6nm process. The SoC is paired with 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The phone also offers the option to virtually expand the RAM by 6 GB and expand the storage by up to 1 TB with a microSD card.
On the software side, the Shark 2 Pro 5G runs Android 16 with Lava's clean and bloatware-free interface. The phone is promised only one major Android update and two years of security patches.
Moving on to the cameras, the Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G is equipped with a 50 MP main camera and an undisclosed secondary lens. On the front, there is an 8 MP selfie shooter.
The phone packs a 6,000mAh battery with 18W wired charging. The good news is that Lava includes the charger in the box.
Aside from that, the Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G brings a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IP64 rating, dual-band Wi-Fi, dual-SIM 5G, Bluetooth 5, GPS and a USB-C 2.0 port.

The Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G is priced at Rs 16,699 for the sole 6 GB + 128 GB model. It will be sold exclusively via offline retail outlets and Lava-authorised stores.
The smartphone comes in Akash Blue and Nanda Silver colour options and is also part of Lava's "Free Service@Home" after-sales program.
An important thing to note is that the Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G seems like a mere rebrand of the Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G. The Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G will be sold for as low as Rs 14,749, bringing a solid Rs 1,950 discount over the Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G, given the current RAM crisis. Hence, it could be a good option for those who are planning to grab the Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G offline.
