Back in October 2025, the Lava Shark 2 went official in India as a budget 4G smartphone. Now, after almost six months, the brand has decided to follow it up with the Shark 2 5G. As the name suggests, the phone comes with 5G connectivity along with other key specs like a 120 Hz display, Unisoc processor, a large battery and more.
Lava Shark 2 5G Specifications and Features
Since the Lava Shark 2 5G is a budget smartphone, there are not a lot of standout details to talk about. For instance, it comes with a large 6.75-inch IPS LCD panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution.
The panel features a U-shaped notch cutout for the selfie camera along with a noticeable bottom bezel. It is on the thicker side at 8.75mm and is also relatively heavy at 210 grams. Both the back and the mid-frame are made out of plastic.
For performance, the phone is powered by the Unisoc T8200 processor and paired with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. There is also the option to virtually extend the RAM by up to 4 GB and physically expand the storage via a microSD card for up to 1 TB.
In terms of software, the Shark 2 5G ships with the latest Android 16 update out of the box. However, there is no clarity on long-term software or security support. Camera-wise, the phone features a single 13 MP primary sensor and a 5 MP selfie shooter.
As for the battery, the Shark 2 5G gains a 6,000mAh cell with support for 18W fast USB-C charging. Rest, it is IP64 rated for dust and water resistance, offers a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a bottom-firing single speaker, dual 5G SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and a USB-C 2.0 port.
Lava Shark 2 5G Price in India and Sale Date
The Lava Shark 2 5G price in India is set at Rs 11,999 for the sole 4 GB + 64 GB model. It is an offline-only smartphone and will be available across the brand's partner retail channels in India from June 10, 2026. Interested folks will be able to purchase it in Sonar Gold and Arya Blue colourways.
