After debuting the Moto Pad 70 Groove in India as its multimedia-focused tablet just last week, Motorola has now launched the Moto Pad 70 in the country. The standout pitch here isn't raw power or entertainment, but portability combined with 5G connectivity and a bundled stylus.

Moto Pad 70 Specifications and Features

The Moto Pad 70 measures just 6.29mm thick and weighs 530 grams, which Motorola is calling the thinnest and lightest 5G tablet in its segment. It comes in a PANTONE Sea Angel finish with an all-metal body.

At the front is a 12.1-inch 2.5K display covering 96% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, with up to 800 nits of brightness and TÜV Rheinland certification for eye comfort. Audio is handled by quad speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos, with Hi-Res Audio support rounding out the entertainment side of things.

Connectivity is where the Moto Pad 70 sets itself apart from most tablets in its price range, with built-in 5G support letting users stream, take video calls and work without depending entirely on Wi-Fi.

Productivity is clearly the tablet's main focus, and Motorola is leaning heavily on AI to get there. The bundled Moto Pen comes with AI-powered writing tools that can suggest edits and rewrite text, while AI Notes can condense longer notes into quick summaries.

Google's AI stack is baked in too, with Circle to Search and Google Gemini available for brainstorming, simplifying information, or generating content from text, voice, photos, or the camera. The tablet also supports Smart Connect, letting it share files and sync content with compatible Motorola smartphones, tablets, and PCs.

For users wanting a more laptop-like setup, an optional Moto Folio keyboard attaches magnetically and includes a dedicated slot for the Moto Pen.

Under the hood, the Moto Pad 70 runs on the Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, expandable up to 2 TB via microSD.

Powering it all is a 10,200mAh battery, rated for up to 13 hours of YouTube streaming. There's also a bundled 68W TurboPower charger that Motorola says can add up to two hours of battery life from just a 10-minute charge.
