Moto X70 Air Pro Key Specifications Leak Ahead of Launch

Motorola is serious about the slim phone category and the upcoming X70 Air Pro is a prime example of that. While we are yet to get an official launch date for the phone, the leaks and rumours are already pouring in. The latest one gives us a good idea about what we can expect the upcoming thin and light phone to pack.

Moto X70 Air Pro key specifications tipped

Indian tech publication, TheTechOutlook, has managed to spot the upcoming Moto X70 Air Pro inside the TENNA certification database listing. It has surfaced with the model number XT2603-1 and has unofficially confirmed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor for the phone.

This comes as a relief since a previous leak hinted at the yet-to-launch Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5 chipset. It would have put the smartphone in the mid-range category. However, thankfully that's not the case. The next slim phone from Motorola will pack Qualcomm's latest flagship-killer SoC.

Moreover, it is also set to gain some other actual upgrades which can very well justify its "Pro" tag. For instance, the listing has mentioned a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED display as well as a 5,100mAh battery for the phone. This indicates a 0.1-inch increase in screen size from the Moto X70 Air and an impressive 300mAh capacity jump.

However, with an increase in battery comes an increase in thickness and weight. As per the leak, the X70 Air Pro will be 7.0mm in thickness and will weigh 187 grams. While still considerably thin and lightweight, it is still 1.1mm thicker and 28 grams heavier than the Moto X70 Air.

Another area where the X70 Air Pro is getting an upgrade is in the camera department. It is said to bring a triple 50 MP setup with a 50 MP main, a 50 MP ultra-wide and a 50 MP 3x periscope camera. Aside from that, the smartphone will offer three RAM and storage configurations, with the top variant sporting 16 GB + 1 TB.

That said, at the time of writing, these are still rumoured in nature. So, take them with a pinch of salt. The Moto X70 Air Pro China teaser did reveal a heavy emphasis on AI for the smartphone. So, expect to see some useful Moto AI features ship with the upcoming phone.
