With every major smartphone brand shipping Android 16 to their phones, Motorola has also decided to join the party. The brand has started the official rollout of Android 16-based Hello UI to three of its hero devices in India.
Edge 60 Pro, Edge 60 Fusion and Edge 50 Pro get the first taste of Android 16
Motorola has officially confirmed that the latest Android 16 build will first come to the Edge 60 Pro, the Edge 60 Fusion and the 2024 Edge 50 Pro. All three phones were previously running the Hello UI skin based on Android 15.

The latest builds for all three smartphones are close to 4 GB in size and in addition to Android 16, they also bring the latest security patches. Interestingly, both the Edge 60 Pro and the Edge 60 Fusion receive the September 2025 security patch. However, the Edge 50 Pro is on the August 2025 security patch.
So, users who own any of the three phones should receive the latest Hello UI update based on Android 16 anytime now. As for the other smartphones, Motorola says that "the update will be progressively extended to its other devices". However, no timeline has been shared at the time of writing. As for what the latest update brings, there are a ton of new features live with the Android 16 build. For starters, there is a new notification auto grouping feature which will club multiple incoming alerts into one. There is also a new personalised profile mode which can let users set different activities to control notifications, app behaviour and system settings.
Other than that, a new instant hotspot feature automatically connects to Google devices, the battery info page is now detailed, the system diagnostics can now run Component Health Monitoring, and more.
