Motorola appears to be prepping its next major smartphone release, with the latest leaks suggesting the Edge 70 Ultra coming soon. The phone could be the first phone to feature Qualcomm's latest and upcoming upper mid-range processor.
Motorola Edge 70 Ultra potentially spotted on Geekbench
A Motorola smartphone bearing the model number XT2603-1, believed to be the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra, recently surfaced on Geekbench. The phone scores 2,636 points in single-core and 7,475 in multi-core.

The phone was previously believed to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, but that might not be the case. While the benchmark doesn't directly reveal the name of the processor, the core configuration does look similar to Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5 processor.
It's expected to be an upper mid-range processor featuring two performance cores clocked at 3.65 GHz and six efficiency cores clocked at 3.32 GHz, paired with an Adreno 829 GPU.

The benchmark results paint a promising picture, with the phone scoring well above those of 2024's top-tier flagships. In addition to the 7+ Gen 5, the Edge 70 Ultra could feature 16 GB RAM and run Android 16 features based on Hello UI out of the box.
As for the other Motorola Edge 70 Ultra specifications, the Edge 70 Ultra is expected to arrive with a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED display, a periscope telephoto camera and a slim and lightweight profile. Most of the other specifications are still unknown at this point.
While Motorola has yet to officially confirm the existence of the Edge 70 Ultra, the leak suggests the smartphone may launch soon. If the benchmarks and leaked specifications hold, the Edge 70 Ultra could be one of the premium smartphones to watch out for in 2026.
