Motorola is expanding its mid-range lineup in Brazil with the launch of Moto G Max. It's a mid-range offering that aims to stand out by blending high physical durability with a high-end display and cameras, making it a compelling option for multimedia and daily use without burning a hole in buyers' pockets.

Moto G Max Specifications

The smartphone is built around a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, boasting a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. The design of the smartphone is reminiscent of most Motorola phones, where the back tries to blend into the camera module, giving off a seamless look.

Endurance appears to be Moto G Max's forte, with the phone featuring MIL-STD-810H certification alongside IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against dust and high-pressure water jets.

The internals are driven by a Dimensity 6400 chipset combined with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. Running the show is Moto's Hello UI based on Android 16, and Motorola is promising two years of major updates.

Optics-wise, the smartphone features a 200 MP main camera with OIS, combined with an 8 MP ultrawide unit. The front unit is a 32 MP snapper for selfies. Fuelling the internals is a 5,200mAh battery capable of charging at 33W.

Connectivity-wise, the phone brings a USB 2.0 Type-C port, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and for security, there's an optical under-display fingerprint scanner.

Moto G Max Price in Brazil and Availability

The Moto G Max is now available for purchase in Brazil in just one storage variant – 8 GB + 256 GB, and it costs 2,519 Brazilian Real (approximately Rs 46,000). The phone is available in two Pantone colours – Charcoal and Cyan, and can now be bought from the official Motorola Brazil storefront.

The Moto G Max is expected to launch in international markets as the Moto G87 5G very soon. The Moto G87 launched in Europe in April 2026, and an India launch is expected in a few weeks. Until then, stay tuned.
