Motorola Confirms Razr Series Launch Date Via an Official Teaser

After a barrage of leaks, we finally have the official Motorola Razr 2026 series launch date and it's scheduled for as early as this month. The Razr 2026 series consists of four foldables – Razr 2026, Razr+ 2026, Razr Ultra 2026 and the brand's first book-style Razr Fold.

Earlier today, the official Motorola X account posted a new teaser that the curtain will be lifted on the new Razr smartphones on April 29, 2026. This timeline adheres to the established Motorola cadence, landing exactly a year after the debut of the Razr 60 family.

While there has recently been a barrage of leaks about the upcoming smartphones, the most recent Motorola Razr 2026 leak has revealed the key specifications and pricing of the upcoming phones. From the looks of it, the standard Motorola Razr 2026 could be vastly similar to its predecessor.

The Razr 2026 (Razr 70 in some markets) could boast two changes. The first is a shift from a 13 MP ultrawide to a 50 MP telephoto, which is a great upgrade. The other is the slightly improved Dimensity 7450X processor, a chipset exclusively made for foldable smartphones.

The Motorola Razr 70 Ultra has also surfaced on countless occasions with a minor endurance tweak. The foldable will feature a slightly larger 4,700mAh battery, a modest 6% increase from the last generation. Powering the smartphone could be the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with up to 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage.

Razr+ 2026 is expected to establish a middle-ground as it could bring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, combined with a slightly larger 4,800mAh battery and 45W charging. The standard Razr 2026 will also charge at the same rate, but the Ultra could get 68W fast charging.

Besides, the event will also feature the all-new book-style Motorola Razr Fold, which the brand launched at MWC 2026 a few months ago. So, we already know everything about the Razr Fold, but Motorola is yet to confirm the key specs of the other foldables. With the official China launch now set for April 29, 2026, more information about the foldables should surface as we inch closer to launch, so stay tuned.
