Nothing introduced Essential Space in 2025 with the Nothing Phone (3a) series. Dubbed as “your second memory,” this is Nothing's take on AI and productivity. The feature has matured over the past few months and now, the firm is rolling out two new feature updates that will improve the overall experience.
The Essential handle on X announced that with the latest update, Flip-to-Record audio clips and saved Memories can now be shared with friends, families, across social media and more.
Nothing has started the rollout of these two updates to the Nothing Phone (3), Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. We were able to spot them across all three models and tested the same out on the latest Nothing Phone (3).

As it is evident from the above screenshots, once the Flip-to-Record audio is saved within the Essential Space, users will now get a new Share option within the three-dot icon menu, apart from the pre-existing Delete option.
These audio recordings are shared across different apps in the .aac file format. Additionally, users will be able to save and export these recorded audio clips.

The same sharability feature is present in the Memories section via a new Share option within the three-dot icon menu. Depending on the saved memory, users will be able to share the same either as an image, a PDF or a markdown.
Apart from these two key features, a small update has also arrived in the form of editable AI summaries. Users will now be able to tweak AI summaries generated within the Essential Space, to make them more clear, precise and concise. Users can even add additional information within the summaries and save the final transcript.
All these new features and updates are aimed at making Nothing's Essential Space more functional and feature rich. Just a few weeks back, Nothing also rolled out the ability to sync Essential Space reminders to Google Calendar. It is also expected to get new features with Nothing OS 4.0. So, stay tuned for that!
