Summary

  • Ahead of the launch, the brand has confirmed that the device will be part of the "Made in India" initiative.
  • The Phone (3) will be the company's first true flagship and might embrace a Dot Matrix tech this time.
  • Nothing is set to unveil the Phone (3) on July 1, 2025.

The hype around the Nothing Phone (3) is real. And with the official launch date out, we are waiting with bated breath to finally see what the London-based tech brand has been cooking for 2 years. And now, adding to the excitement is the fact that the device will be manufactured locally in India.

Nothing took to its official X (formerly Twitter) account to reveal that while the upcoming Phone (3) will be designed in London, it will be "Made in India." It doesn't come as a surprise as the Nothing Phone (1), Phone (2), CMF Phone (1), and CMF Phone (2) Pro were also manufactured in India. However, it certainly is evident that the brand is serious about expanding its India presence.

Moreover, not too long ago the brand had talked about doubling down on its "Make in India" initiative and even appointed co-founder Akis Evangelidis as the President for Nothing's India operations.

As we accelerate our growth here, we’re doubling down on our investment in local manufacturing, talent, and innovation — fully aligned with the Make in India vision. Phone (3) marks a major milestone: our first true flagship, delivering the very best of Nothing. We can’t wait for our Indian users to experience it.

Currently, Nothing operates a manufacturing unit near Chennai, India. The brand also boasts five exclusive service centers in Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

The brand has been really sneaky with its teasers, and hence, not a lot is known about the Nothing Phone (3) specifications. We did get to see an official-looking Phone (3) render recently, although the final execution could be completely off.

Nothing CEO Carl Pei has already confirmed that Phone (3) would be their "first true flagship" with premium materials and major performance upgrades.

It is also expected to feature an all-new Dot Matrix technology, replacing the iconic Glyph Interface. Nothing has been officially teasing about the same. Very recently, the brand also posted a Glyph teardown video on X urging the audience to "Say your last goodbyes".

When it comes to performance, the device will either feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC or the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. As a result, the Nothing Phone (3) will witness a price bump. Carl Pei officially confirmed that it will start from 800 pounds (approximately Rs 92,500).

However, given the fact that India is an important market for Nothing and now, the phone will also be manufactured in India, we expect it to be priced more aggressively. The Nothing Phone (3) is all set to launch in India on July 1, 2025.
