ZTE's sub-brand Nubia, known for its top-tier gaming phones, has launched its first ever folding phone. The Nubia Fold is now official in Japan with some series hardware like the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, above 6,000mAh battery and more. Here is a quick rundown of the smartphone.
Nubia Fold Specifications and Features
Kicking things off with the display, the Nubia Fold brings an 8-inch folding OLED panel with 120 Hz refresh rate and 2,480 x 2,200 pixels resolution. It is paired with a 6.5-inch outer OLED panel which also supports 120 Hz and features 2,748 x 1,172 resolution.
Even though this is a folding phone, Nubia has managed to keep it slim at 11.1mm when folded. It can achieve a thickness of just 5.4mm when unfolded. The weight distribution of the smartphone is also good since it sits at just 249 grams.

Under the hood, the debut foldable draws its power from last year's flagship-grade Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It is paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Software-wise, the smartphone ships with Android 15.
In terms of the cameras, the Nubia Fold brings a triple rear camera setup, an outer selfie camera and an inner selfie shooter. The back houses a 50 MP main camera with a 50 MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 5 MP macro sensor. Both the inner and outer selfie cameras have a 20 MP sensor.

Battery-wise, the Nubia Fold gets a massive 6,560mAh capacity with support for 55W fast USB-C charging.
Aside from that, the smartphone also brings an official IP54 rating, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, 5G connectivity and more.

As for the pricing, the Nubia Fold costs 1,78,560 Japanese Yen (approximately Rs 1,04,000) for the single 12 GB + 256 GB model. It is also available in a single Black colour option. At the time of writing, Nubia is yet to announce when the smartphone will be available for purchase in Japan and the rest of the world.
