Last week, Samsung opened the One UI 9 Beta 1 update for Galaxy S25 series, bringing the Android 17-based One UI build to last-gen Galaxy flagships. Now, the South Korean brand has seeded the One UI 9 Beta 2 update to the lineup, bringing four new Galaxy AI features along with several bug fixes.
One UI 9 Beta 2 Update for Galaxy S25 Series: What's New
According to tipster Tarun Vats on X and an official Samsung Community post, the One UI 9 beta 2 update has officially arrived for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra owners in South Korea only.
The One UI 9 build boasts firmware version S938NKSUCZZI4 and is 643.16 MB in size. The update also brings the August 2026 security patch.
While the new update mostly brings bug fixes, there are exactly four new Galaxy AI features that are worth mentioning: Call Brief, Now Nudge, My FanCam and custom Now Brief cards. These are noteworthy additions, since they were previously exclusive to the Galaxy S26 series and the latest Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Flip 8.
For those unaware, Call Brief displays contextual information and related events directly on the call screen while users are on a call, to display relevant details in front of them without switching apps mid-conversation.
Custom Cards in Now Brief lets users build their own daily briefings. Galaxy AI allows users to pick the data points they actually need from Samsung Health, Samsung Weather and YouTube. There is also the option to choose what time each card appears in Now Brief.

As for Now Nudge, this Galaxy AI feature analyses what is on screen in real time and suggests relevant next steps, without needing to open another app to act on them.
Lastly, My FanCam is the most interesting one. This feature can automatically track a specific person in a video and reframe the shot to keep them centred, and it works both on new recordings and videos already stored on Galaxy phones.
Aside from these new additions, there doesn't appear to be a whole lot new with the One UI 9 Beta 2 update. Galaxy S25 series users interested in trying out One UI 9 Beta can head over to the Samsung Members app and enrol their phones in the beta program. Once done, they can simply head over to Settings -> Software update -> Download and install on an enrolled Galaxy S25 series phone to get the update.
