Just recently, the OnePlus 15 went official in India and the brand also teased the toned-down 15R at the launch event. Now, it looks like OnePlus is gearing up to launch the 15R in India and globally soon, according to a new leak.
OnePlus 15R could launch in India in mid-December
Known tipster Yogesh Brar took to X to reveal that the OnePlus 15R launch will happen in India by mid-December 2025. At the same time, the smartphone will also go global in countries like the USA and Europe.

Moreover, Brar claims that the OnePlus 15R will be priced in India close to the OnePlus 13R. For context, the 13R launched in India at Rs 42,999 for the 12 GB + 256 GB model. There was also a 16 GB + 512 GB model and it cost Rs 49,999. So, expect similar pricing and RAM and storage configuration for the 15R as well.
Now, it is already well known that the recently launched OnePlus Ace 6 in China will arrive as the OnePlus 15R for the rest of the world, including India. It launched for 2,599 Chinese Yuan, which roughly translates to Rs 32,500. So, the OnePlus 15R could become Rs 10,499 more expensive in India.

As for what the OnePlus 15R will offer, since we expect it to be an exact carbon copy of the Ace 6 in China, here is a quick rundown of its key specifications:
- 6.83-inch 1.5K 165 Hz LTPS 10-bit AMOLED display
- Snapdragon 8 Elite processor
- 7,800mAh battery and 120W fast USB-C charging
- Dual camera setup with 50 MP Sony IMX906 main camera and 8 MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens
- 16 MP Sony IMX709 selfie camera
- OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16
- LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage
That said, the OnePlus 15R this year is already missing out on the telephoto camera, which the OnePlus 13R offered. Moreover, it also has a downgraded LTPS display compared to the LTPO panel on the 13R. So, it will be interesting to see if a big battery, fast processor and good software are enough to justify its pricing.
