With compact phones gaining momentum, it is clear that the OnePlus 15s is one palm-friendly flagship to look out for in 2026. While the brand has not officially started teasing the phone, the leaks are already emerging online. The latest one hints at camera upgrades for the next compact flagship.
OnePlus 15s cameras are due for a solid upgrade
Known X tipster Debayan Roy claims that the upcoming OnePlus 15s will boast an impressive 3.5x optical zoom telephoto camera. It will reportedly be joined by a 50 MP main sensor and once again, will miss out on the ultra-wide angle camera.

For context, the 2025 OnePlus 13s brings a 50 MP camera and a 50 MP telephoto sensor. However, it can only achieve 2x zoom optically. So, with a 3.5x upgrade, the hardware will become capable enough to achieve lossless zoom with retained sharpness, clarity and picture quality.
As for the other details, there is a high chance that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor will power the smartphone. A recent OnePlus 15T battery capacity leak hinted at a 7,000mAh capacity for the smartphone. Since the OnePlus 15T in China will become the OnePlus 15s in India, expect it to rock the same capacity. Display-wise, the 15T will bring the same one-hand-friendly 6.3-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. However, it should be fast with a 165 Hz refresh rate.

That said, since none of the above-mentioned details are official yet, take them with a grain of salt. If OnePlus follows the same June launch window, expect the smartphone to go official in about six months time.
