After the OnePlus Ace 6T and OnePlus 15, the brand is preparing to add the top-tier OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra to the lineup. Just last week, the brand teased the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra China launch and now, we get a proper first look at the phone's design. Additionally, OnePlus has also revealed some of the phone's key performance metrics, showing it off as a monster gaming phone.
OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra Design and Key Specs Confirmed
Li Jie Louis, President of OnePlus, China, showcased the phone's design in a dedicated livestream. The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra closely resembles its non-Ultra sibling, but with a more aggressive visual identity.
The teased black variant features a large reflective "Ace" logo on the back, giving off a more gamer-centric aesthetic. We see subtle blue and purple hues reflecting off the back panel, looking like RGB lights.

In the same livestream, we also learned about some key OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra specifications. At the heart of the announcement is the phone's 165 Hz refresh rate display, which isn't entirely surprising since both the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Ace 6T (OnePlus 15R in India and globally) offer the same.
According to OnePlus, this panel is optimised for smooth 165 FPS gameplay, especially in fast-paced shooting games and will deliver stable frame rates even in demanding scenarios.
Additionally, Lie went a step further in a Weibo post by highlighting strong "1% low frame rate" performance. Now, from the sound of it, it could essentially mean fewer frame drops during critical in-game moments.
Most importantly, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is now confirmed to be powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset, which is the same processor that will power the upcoming Redmi K90 Max.
Now, while the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra launch date in China has not been confirmed, the brand has revealed it to be set for some time later this month.
It appears gaming phones are gradually coming back in focus this year. Recently, it was also confirmed that Lenovo Legion gaming phones are coming back to the market after years. Looks like 2026 will be a mobile gamer's dream come true, with a little too many options hitting the shelves.
