OnePlus is preparing to dip its toes into the budget smartphone space in India with its upcoming "N" series. The OnePlus N6 will be the first phone of this series and could become the cheapest entry point for users to experience OxygenOS. Now, the brand has confirmed the OnePlus N6 battery capacity and it's monstrous to say the least.
OnePlus N6 to Pack One of the Biggest Batteries in the Segment
The official OnePlus India X account has confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus N6 will feature a mammoth 8,000mAh battery capacity. It is also touted to bring 7 years of battery longevity, which implies that the phone will have more than 75% battery health even after 7 years of countless charge cycles and continuous usage.

It is the same capacity as the OnePlus Nord CE 6 and is among the few OnePlus phones in India which pack 8,000mAh and above battery capacities. Moreover, if we go by leaks, the OnePlus N6 will reportedly start in India for less than Rs 20,000.
At that price, it could become the second-highest rated battery phone in the country. Currently, the Realme P4R is the only 8,000mAh battery phone under Rs 20,000. Hence, it will be interesting to see what other features the phone offers at that price. Who knows, it may even be a mere rebrand of the P4R.
That is backed by leaks, which suggest the OnePlus N6 could be powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset. In addition, the phone could feature a smooth LCD display, a 50 MP main camera, a plastic build and an IP65 rating. OnePlus has already shared the phone's design in black and blue colourways, and it resembles the Nord CE 6.
That said, since the OnePlus N6 India launch date is confirmed for June 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST, we should hear more details about the phone in the upcoming days. So, stay tuned.
