After recent rumours pointed to a new affordable N-series phone, the company has now officially teased the OnePlus N6 Lite in India.
A dedicated OnePlus N6 Lite microsite is now live on Amazon India with the "Powerfully big" tagline. The phone is marked as "coming soon". OnePlus has not shared any other details yet.
However, based on tipster Abhishek Yadav's leak, the OnePlus N6 Lite could launch as the most affordable OnePlus phone to date. This means the smartphone will sit below the OnePlus N6x, a toned-down variant of the OnePlus N6.
Hence, we can expect the OnePlus N6 Lite to be priced under Rs 15,000. Given the current RAM crisis scenario, this could be a good option for those looking to buy OnePlus phones without spending more than Rs 20,000.
Currently, in the budget segment, brands like Boltt and Ai+ are launching new phones like the Boltt Ace 5G and Ai+ Nova 2 Neo 5G. Not to mention, the Mivi One 5G India launch is also scheduled to happen soon as a budget phone.
Hence, with prices increasing daily, this could be a good opportunity for OnePlus to gain market share in the budget phone segment in India. This could also possibly mean that the OnePlus N6 Lite will launch with 4G connectivity and other budget specs like HD+display, Unisoc processor, 4 GB RAM and more.
