Oppo has officially entered the era of 10,000mAh battery phones with the launch of the Oppo A7 Pro Max in China. Not only does it pack the largest battery ever on an Oppo phone, but is also the first smartphone in the world to feature the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset.
Oppo A7 Pro Max Specifications and Features
As already mentioned, the highlight of the Oppo A7 Pro Max is unmistakably its 10,000mAh battery. It relies on Oppo's "Glacier Battery" tech, which allows it to pack more capacity into a similar footprint without ballooning the phone's 8.57mm thickness and 226-gram weight further.
The phone also supports 80W SuperVOOC and 80W UFCS wired charging, along with 27W reverse charging for topping up accessories on the go.

Handling performance duties is the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, which is built on TSMC's 4nm process with two Cortex-A78 cores clocked up to 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at up to 2.0GHz, paired with an Adreno G629 GPU. It's rounded out by LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
Up front, the Oppo A7 Pro Max sports a 6.78-inch flexible AMOLED display with a sharp 2772 x 1272 resolution, a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, 10-bit colour depth and peak brightness of 1,800 nits.
There's also an AI-powered Outdoor Mode 2.0 for better visibility under harsh sunlight. Gamers also get a 330 Hz touch sampling rate in select titles, which is a bonus for gamers.

On the imaging side, the phone sticks to a fairly modest 50 MP OIS-equipped primary rear camera, joined by a 2 MP monochrome sensor and a notification LED. There's a 50 MP front camera for selfies. Both cameras top out at 1080p video recording, which only suggests Oppo prioritised battery and durability over top-tier camera here.

Speaking of durability, the A7 Pro Max carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, which is an impressively comprehensive spread if you ask me.
There's also an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with up to 300% volume boost, NFC and an IR blaster.
On the software side of things, the phone runs on ColorOS 16, which is based on Android 16.
