Wide foldables are the next big thing and while Huawei did it first with the Pura X Max, tech giants like Samsung and Apple are going to hop on that trend as well. Now, fresh information suggests that the Oppo Find N7 will also arrive with a wide foldable format next year.
Oppo Find N7 Tipped to Be a Wide-Screen Foldable
According to tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo, the Oppo Find N7 is being tested with the wide-screen design. This will make it butt heads with the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide and iPhone Fold in the wide foldable space.

However, it doesn't come as a surprise since a previous leak from Digital Chat Station (DCS) revealed that Oppo could launch a wide-screen fold in Q1 2027. It was said to include a 7.6-inch foldable screen and a 5.5-inch cover display, which is similar to what both Samsung and Apple have in mind for their passport-shaped folds.
Smart Pikachu further claims that Oppo plans to further minimise the crease on the Find N7 by bringing an upgrade to the creaseless-fold design of the Find N6. For those unaware, the Oppo Find N6 features what Oppo calls its first Zero-Feel Crease display.

To achieve this, Oppo re-engineered the hinge to put less stress on the display when unfolded. This helps make the crease much less noticeable, making the screen look and feel more like a regular smartphone display.
It is still unclear if the Oppo Find N7 will directly succeed the Find N6. Oppo could also introduce it as a separate wide foldable to compete with the iPhone Fold, while launching another model as the true successor. With the launch still months away, more concrete details are likely to emerge in the coming months. Stay tuned.
