Oppo and imaging brand Hasselblad went into a strategic partnership back in 2022. Now, the brands are further deepening the roots of their partnership with intricate imaging solutions for the next generation of Oppo smartphones. The upcoming Oppo Find X9 series, especially the Find X9 Ultra, could be the very first device born out of this renewed partnership.
According to eminent leaker DCS (Digital Chat Station), the Oppo Find X9 Ultra will very likely launch with a dedicated Hasselblad Photography Kit. This is very similar to what Xiaomi did with the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Vivo followed with its strategic collaboration with Zeiss optics.
The Find X9 series smartphones will also feature a co-developed "next-generation imaging system." The partnership will reportedly see Oppo’s AI Bokeh Engine working in tandem with Hasselblad’s colour tuning for true-to-life photos and accurate skin tones, especially for portrait shots.

While the details as to what the photography kit will bring are still not known, we can expect Oppo to follow the footsteps of Xiaomi and Vivo and offer several snap-on accessories like interchangeable lens rings, back covers, powerbank modules, filters, lenses and more.
If lucky, we might see something like the 200 mm telephoto canon that allowed the Vivo X200 Ultra literally mount an imaging-grade periscope lens.

Just like Xiaomi and Vivo, the Hasselblad Photography Kit will likely be offered as an add-on purchase option alongside the Find X9 Ultra. This makes sense since the "Ultra" offerings from the likes of Oppo, Xiaomi and Vivo, already feature a pro-grade imaging system by default. Hence, for actual photography and videography enthusiasts, these additional modules are just another way to take the overall mobile photography experience a notch above.
For instance, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is rumoured to feature a 200 MP primary sensor, a dual 50 MP periscope telephoto lens and a 50 MP ultrawide angle camera. So, with the Hasselblad Photography Kit in the mix, Oppo might go all-in into making the X9 Ultra a "camera-focused flagship."

Apart from this, DCS has also mentioned in a separate Weibo post that Oppo is considering adding a 0.2 mm magnetic ring to the Find X9 Ultra for Qi 2 wireless charging support and open up the smartphone to a range of magnetic accessories.
This means that the upcoming Find X9 Ultra will very likely come with Oppo's in-house 50W AirVOOC wireless charging tech. This will reportedly get paired with a 6,000 mAh battery.
Additionally, the device is rumoured to feature a 6.82-inch 2K+ OLED display and draw its power from the yet-to-be-announced MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset.
With that said, these details, at the time of writing, are just rumours. So, take them with a grain of salt. We will be able to report more on this as the launch timeline of the Find X9 series nears in the coming future.
