After weeks of teasing, Oppo has finally unveiled its next affordable gaming-focused smartphones, the Oppo K15 Pro and K15 Pro+ in China. With the launch, Oppo is dropping the Turbo moniker, indicating a shift to a more premium, enthusiast-focused aesthetic with hardware that's capable of running even the heaviest of games.

Oppo K15 Pro+ Specifications

Starting with the display, the Oppo K15 Pro+ features a flat 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The chassis is 8.3mm thick, and the phone weighs 213 grams. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, whereas the smartphone itself boasts IP69K water and dust resistance.

Running the show underneath is MediaTek's latest sub-flagship processor, the Dimensity 9500s. It's an octa-core processor featuring ARM Cortex-X925 primary core clocked at 3.73 GHz. Complimenting the same is ARM's Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU with improved Ray Tracing capabilities. The chipset is based on TSMC's 3nm process and is also found in phones like the Poco X8 Pro Max.

Despite the phone lacking the Turbo moniker, the K15 Pro series retains the active cooling fan. The fan helps dissipate heat faster, allowing the processor to deliver better sustained peak performance without throttling sooner. The performance is further complemented by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

Powering the internals is a massive 8,000mAh battery that supports 100W charging. Optics-wise, the phone features a 50 MP primary snapper, alongside an 8 MP ultrawide and a 16 MP front selfie shooter. Connectivity-wise, the K15 Pro+ features Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC and charges via the USB 2.0 Type-C port at the bottom and at 100W. The phone also boasts an optical under-display fingerprint scanner.
