It has not even been six months since the Oppo Reno 15 series dropped, and we are already hearing details about the upcoming Reno 16 series. Slated to bring the Reno 16, Reno 16 Pro and the Reno 16 Pro Mini, we now get to see the alleged design of the Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16 Pro Mini via a leaked image.
Oppo Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16 Pro Mini Design Leaked
A new leaked image circulating online is widely speculated to be the alleged design of the upcoming Oppo Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16 Pro Mini. It appears to show off an EVT prototype which doesn't have the "OPPO" branding at the back and reveals a camera module design unlike any other Reno-series smartphone.

From the above image, it is evident that the upcoming Reno 16 series will most likely not resemble the Oppo Reno 15 Pro and the Reno 15 Pro Mini. The most striking feature is the new camera module design, which uses a squircle camera island as the base and a pill-shaped black cutout for two of the three cameras.
The third lens rests in its own circular cutout at the top, and a circular dual-tone LED flash sits underneath. It seems like Oppo is planning to borrow the industrial design and look of the OnePlus 15R, which also features an almost similar camera deco design. It is unclear at the moment if the EVT prototype has a glass back or a metal frame like the previous Reno series phones.

However, the leak claims that the next generation will also integrate a "Plus Key", which has been found only on OnePlus phones so far. For context, the Plus Key, introduced with the OnePlus 13s, replaced the Alert Slider to offer a physical call key for AI and OnePlus' Mind Space.
It could act as the Snap Key found on the Oppo Find X9 series, including the Find X9 Ultra, but will be a first for the Reno series. That said, at the time of writing, we are unable to verify the credibility of this leak, so take it with a pinch of salt. Just like the Reno 15 series, we expect Reno 16 lineup to go official in China by June 2026 with a Q3 launch window set for India.
