It has not been six months since the Oppo Reno 15 series dropped and we are already hearing details about the upcoming Reno 16 series. Slated to bring the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro, both phones have now surfaced online, revealing multiple details like display, camera, battery, processor, RAM and storage and more.
Oppo Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro Specifications (Leaked)
Fresh out of the rumour mill, the official Digital Chat Station (DCS) Weibo handle has outed some key information regarding the standard Oppo Reno 16 and the Oppo Reno 16 Pro. Expected to succeed the Oppo Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro, both phones are expected to bring some impressive hardware upgrades.

For starters, the Reno 16 Pro is said to feature a similar 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display with symmetrical narrow bezels as that of the 15 Pro. It will reportedly draw its power from the newly launched Dimensity 9500s chipset and pair with five RAM and storage options - 12 GB + 256 GB, 12 GB + 512 GB, 16 GB + 256 GB, 16 GB + 512 GB and 16 GB + 1 TB.
This will bring a serious upgrade in performance since the Reno 15 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 8450 processor. The battery capacity is also likely increasing, with the rated value jumping from 6,500mAh to 7,000mAh. Aside from that, the Reno 16 Pro is expected to retain the 200 MP main camera, a periscope lens and the metal mid-frame. It will be likely available in shades of white, black, purple and green.

As for the standard Reno 16, DCS has responded to a user's comment claiming that the standard model is opting for a smaller 6.3-inch display compared to the Reno 15's 6.59-inch AMOLED. It is also in line to gain a performance boost with a Dimensity 8,000 series processor, possibly the Dimensity 8500 chipset.
So, it is clear that to keep with the rising RAM costs, Oppo is prepping the Reno 16 series on par with the necessary material and spec upgrades fans are hoping for. DCS also confirms that the upcoming phones could cost minimum 4,000 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 54,000). That said, with a Q3 2026 launch window expectation, we still have a few more months left for concrete details to emerge. So, stay tuned.
