Oppo is preparing to unveil the Reno 17 series sometime in November 2026, and details regarding its India availability have surfaced. Contrary to its usual launch style, new leaks suggest that the brand may not launch the Oppo Reno 17 Pro in India.
Oppo Reno 17 Specifications Leaked
Tipster Yogesh Brar via SmartPrix has shared an image of the Oppo Reno 17, suggesting the overall build is similar to the Reno 16. The tipster claims that Oppo may skip the Reno 17 Pro in India this year and that there could be no major changes under the hood.
For starters, the Reno 17 could boast the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and a 50 MP triple rear camera setup with standard, ultrawide and telephoto lenses. The only tipped upgrade could be a battery capacity upgrade from 6,700mAh to 7,000mAh, which isn't significant either.
The leaked image reveals that the Reno 17 could be cosmetically similar to the Reno 16, with a slight change in the camera module. Instead of the two lenses resting on the squircular camera island, they appear to be placed on another pill-shaped island.
Additionally, Yogesh suggests that the Reno 17 could be priced around Rs 60,000 to Rs 70,000, just like its predecessor.
The Reno 17 is expected to arrive with ColorOS 17 features based on Android 17 out of the box. As for the launch date, Weibo tipster Smart Pikachu revealed that the China launch could be in November 2026. Yogesh says the India launch could happen much later, in January 2026.
Adding to the China launch info, Smart Pikachu also revealed that the Pro could bring a 200 MP camera, while the series could offer new features for live video streaming and photo editing.
Additionally, the tipster also claimed previously that Oppo is exploring the possibility of attaching external telephoto lenses to the series to enhance the overall zoom quality. Much about the series remains under wraps, so take the early information with a grain of salt.
