It's a brand new month and a new barrage of smartphone price hikes, all over again. After Motorola hiked the prices of several smartphones today, Poco has quietly increased the prices of several budget smartphones in India. The latest revision affects the Poco C85 5G, Poco C81x and Poco C81, with prices going up by as much as Rs 1,000.
Here's How Much More the Poco C85 5G and C81 Series Cost Now
Tipster Ahsan Kharbai took to X to first share an internal communication of the brand with retail partners. As per this document, the revised pricing from Poco came into effect from June 1, 2025.

The Poco C85 5G has received a uniform price hike of Rs 500 across all variants. Following the revision, the 4 GB + 128 GB variant now costs Rs 15,499 instead of Rs 14,999. Similarly, the 6 GB + 128 GB model has gone up from Rs 16,499 to Rs 16,999, while the top-end 8 GB + 128 GB version is now priced at Rs 18,499, up from Rs 17,999.
Further, the price revision is even steeper for the Poco C81 series. The Poco C81x with 3 GB RAM and 64 GB storage has received a Rs 1,000 hike, taking its price from Rs 9,999 to Rs 10,999. Meanwhile, the Poco C81 in its 4 GB + 64 GB configuration has also become Rs 1,000 more expensive. The phone now carries a price tag of Rs 11,999, compared to its previous Rs 10,999 asking price.

Poco's latest price hikes are not surprising in the least, especially since the Redmi Note 15 and Redmi 15 prices were hiked recently as well. It comes amid a broader wave of smartphone price increases in India. Several brands have either revised pricing or reduced discounts in recent months as the ongoing RAM crisis continues to worsen.
