Back in September 2025, Poco launched the C85 5G in Europe. However, as of now there is no indication as to where else the phone will launch. Now, the device has appeared online via a Google Play Console listing, indicating its launch in India.
Poco C85 5G could launch in India soon
First spotted by publication The Tech Outlook, the Poco C85 5G has been listed on the Google Play Console website with the 2508CPC2BI model number. It also bears the "tornado" codename. The addition of the letter "I" at the end of the SKU is believed to denote "India". This means that Poco is planning to launch the C85 as its next budget smartphone.

Moreover, the listing has also mentioned the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset for the smartphone. This seems like a very unusual choice since the said SoC launched way back in 2023. It was widely used inside some popular 2024 smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy F15 5G, Realme Narzo 70x 5G and more.
So, to see this chipset surface inside a 2025 smartphone is quite strange. Especially since the Poco C85 Europe launch variant sports the much newer MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra processor. Hence, at the time of writing, we are not sure how reliable this current listing is. So, take it with a pinch of salt.

Additionally, the listing mentions Android 16 for the phone and a 720 x 1,600-pixel resolution display, indicating an HD+ panel. It even contains the front view of the device with a water drop-style notch display and a thicker bottom bezel.
That said, based on the European variant of the smartphone, expect it to feature the following specs as well:
- 6.9-inch HD+ 120 Hz LCD display
- Android 15-based HyperOS 2
- 6,000mAh battery with 33W USB-C charging
- 50 MP main camera and 8 MP selfie camera
- IP64 rating
As of now, there is no official word regarding the smartphone's existence in India. If at all it launches, expect it to hover somewhere around the Rs 12,000 mark.
