Poco's next "F" series smartphone, the F8 Pro is expected to launch in 2026 alongside the regular F8 and the F8 Ultra. While Poco has yet to confirm the lineup's existence, the devices have already leaked substantially. This time, we get to see what appears to be the official retail box of the Pro variant.
Poco F8 Pro is getting the 'Sound by Bose' treatment
Based on an image shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, it looks like the retail packaging of the Poco F8 Pro has surfaced online. It reveals only the top half of the black box and the 'Sound by Bose' branding at the top-left corner is clearly evident. Other than that, it follows the same Poco Yellow colour for the Poco branding and the smartphone's name.

Moreover, Yadav claims that Poco will not include the charger with the smartphone this time as well. For context, the previous-gen Poco F7 Pro launched in Europe without a charging brick inside the retail box. Hence, looks like the same tradition will follow with the F8 Pro.
Now, while the current leak has not shed any light regarding the smartphone's specs, it does confirm that the F8 Pro is indeed going to be a rebranded Redmi K90 Pro Max which launched a few weeks back in China. It also carried the Sound by Bose branding and the F7 Pro was also a rebadged Redmi K80 Pro.

Since we didn't get a K90 Pro this time, the likely contender appears to be the K90 Pro Max. However, if we were to go by the Poco F8 series battery leak which surfaced a few days back, the upcoming phone will not be an exact rebrand of the Redmi one.
For instance, instead of the 7,560mAh battery inside the K90 Pro Max, the F8 Pro is said to bring a reduced 6,500mAh capacity. It is also very likely that the wired charging speed will also see a reduction at launch.

Other than that, expect the smartphone to bring the same K90 Pro Max design, with the Sound by Bose physical woofer at the back, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 6.9-inch 2K 120 Hz OLED display, Android 16-based HyperOS 3 update, a triple 50 MP rear camera setup and more.
That said, since the Poco F7 Pro debuted in March 2025, expect a similar launch timeline for the F8 Pro in 2026. This time as well, we don't think the smartphone will make its way to India. However, rumours claim that the K90 Pro Max could arrive in the country instead. So, fans can expect to still experience the Sound by Bose offering of the smartphones.
