Poco's next "F" series smartphone, the F8 Ultra is already doing rounds in the rumour mill. It is expected to launch in 2026 alongside the regular F8 and the F8 Pro. While Poco is yet to confirm the lineup's existence, a new Geekbench listing of the Ultra variant has spilt the beans on its performance.
Poco's F8 Ultra could be another performance beast to look forward to
The Geekbench listing of the Poco F8 Ultra is now live on the benchmarking website, with the Xiaomi 25102PCBEG model number. The smartphone has managed to score 3,327 points in the single-core test, while hitting 9,872 points in multi-core. Other details confirm the presence of 16 GB RAM and HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

As for the processor, the listing mentions an octa-core chipset with 2 cores clocked at 4.61 GHz and 6 cores clocked at 3.63 GHz. Given how familiar the CPU architecture is, there is no doubt that we are looking at the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This means that the GPU is going to be the Adreno 840 one.
This does not come as a surprise since back in September, when Qualcomm made the flagship processor official, Poco was among the first brands to adopt the new SoC. It confirmed that its upcoming flagship phone will draw its power from the latest and greatest chip.

Given that last year's Poco F7 Ultra featured the Snapdragon 8 Elite, it is more than obvious that the Poco F8 Ultra will bear the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 inside. However, it looks like the variant that we spotted on Geekbench is one of the initial testing units.
This is because, from the iQOO 15 to the OnePlus 15, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 has consistently hit above 11,000 points in the multi-core test. However, with the F8 Ultra, it has not even achieved 10,000 points. So, it is likely that we will see other test models of the smartphone on Geekbench.

As for the other specs, the recently launched Redmi K90 Pro Max is expected to become the F8 Ultra globally. If true, this will mean that the upcoming Poco flagship will borrow most of the K90 Pro Max's specs, including the new 'Sound by Bose' branding.
However, as we saw with the recent Poco F8 series battery capacity leak, the F8 Ultra model will also likely launch with a nerfed battery capacity to comply with regulations. Other than that, expect the smartphone to bring a 6.9-inch 2K 120 Hz OLED display, Android 16-based HyperOS 3, a 50 MP Light Hunter 950 main camera, 100W fast USB-C charging and more.
