Earlier today, the Poco M8x 5G launched in India and now, it looks like the brand is planning to expand its "Poco X8" lineup next month by adding two new members - Poco X8 5G and Poco X8 Power 5G. Both phones will join the existing Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max.
A new leak from tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) has revealed that the upcoming Poco X8 5G and Poco X8 Power 5G will launch in India by early September 2026. Both phones are said to mark the last Poco phones that are launching this year, before the brand shifts focus to the "Poco F" series for 2027.
The standard Poco X8 5G and the Poco X8 Power 5G will join the Poco X8 Pro 5G and Poco X8 Pro Max 5G, which were launched a few months back in India.
Alongside the launch timeline, Brar has also shared what appears to be the marketing materials for both phones. The images reveal the expected key specifications of the Poco X8 5G and the Poco X8 Power 5G.
Poco X8 5G Specifications Leaked
Starting with the standard Poco X8 5G, the smartphone is tipped to feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with Wet Touch 2.0 technology and 3,500 nits of peak brightness. The panel is supposedly protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The image shows off the phone in orange, sky blue and black colour options. The official marketing names for them are currently unknown. All three colourways could feature an abstract geometric pattern at the back along with a considerably thick pill-shaped dual camera island.
Moving on, the leaked image claims the Poco X8 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. The phone could ship with the HyperOS 3 update based on Android 16 and receive 4 years of software and 6 years of security support.
Poco X8 5G could also bring Xiaomi AI Hyper Connectivity features, alongside a massive 9,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
The main camera on the Poco X8 5G could be a 50 MP unit with a 16 MP selfie camera.Rest, the phone is tipped to bring IP66 + IP68 +IP69 + IP69K water and dust resistance.

As for the Poco X8 Power 5G, the phone is tipped to get the same 6.83-inch AMOLED display as that of the Poco X8 5G. Here as well, the panel will feature Wet Touch 2.0 tech, 3,500 nits of peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
However, the biggest difference between the two phones could be their battery capacity, as the Poco X8 Power 5G is tipped to feature a 10,000mAh cell, supporting 100W fast charging. The processor is also different, as the phone is rumoured to feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.
In terms of software, the Poco X8 Power 5G will likely ship with HyperOS 3 update out of the box and receive 4 years of software and 6 years of security support. The phone could be protected by IP66 + IP68 +IP69 + IP69K water and dust resistance ratings.
As for the rest, the smartphone could feature a 50 MP main and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera at the back, while reserving a 32 MP unit for the selfie camera. Design-wise, the Poco X8 Power 5G could feature a squircle camera deco and launch in black and signature Poco yellow colour options.
