The Realme 16 Pro series launch date in India has been set for January 6, 2025, and ahead of launch, a new leak gives a rough pricing estimate of the upcoming lineup. From the looks of it, the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ will be pushing the pricing straight into the premium mid-range category.
Realme 16 Pro series India pricing tipped
Reliable tipster @Gadgetsdata on X revealed the India pricing of the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+. According to the leakster, the Realme 16 Pro will be priced anywhere between Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000 in the subcontinent. Now, considering that the Realme 15 Pro started at Rs 28,999 for the base 8 GB + 128 GB variant, we can expect its successor to be priced similarly.

Meanwhile, the Realme 16 Pro+ will be quite exorbitant, reportedly priced between Rs 35,000 and Rs 40,000. The Pro+ is making a comeback this time around, since the last generation skipped it. However, the Realme 14 Pro+ launched for Rs 29,999 earlier this year. So, that makes the upcoming Realme 16 Pro price in India hefty by at least Rs 5,000.
As for the specifications of the phones, the brand has already started revealing the details. We already know that the Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro+ will arrive with a 200 MP "Portrait Master" main camera, backed by the brand's in-house LumaColour technology. However, the Realme 16 Pro+ will also flaunt a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera.

Apart from this, the Realme 16 Pro+ specifications were leaked in detail, thanks to its TENAA sighting recently. Here's a quick rundown of it all:
- 6.8-inch 1.5K 120 Hz OLED display
- Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset
- Three years of major OS updates and four years of security patches
- 50 MP selfie shooter
- IR Blaster, in-display fingerprint scanner
- 8.49mm thickness, 203 grams weight
With that said, it does seem like the Realme 16 Pro lineup will be quite a bit more expensive than the Realme 15 series. However, given how smartphone prices are only going to go up from here, the upcoming lineup might as well be one of the best camera phones to grab in the segment next year.
