The wait is finally over as Realme has confirmed when its brand-new Realme 16 Pro series will go official in India. They will become the first phones to introduce Realme's LumaColor Imaging and are crafted by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa.
Realme 16 Pro series goes official in three weeks
Realme has confirmed that the all-new Realme 16 Pro and the Realme 16 Pro+ will break cover in India on January 6, 2026. Both phones will launch at a dedicated launch at 12:00 PM IST.

Based on what's officially known, the Realme 16 series will lean heavily on cameras. For the first time, Realme is introducing a new LumaColor Imaging technology for colour accuracy and better portrait imaging. Realme claims that with LumaColor, the 16 lineup will gain full-dimensional skin tone optimisation, improved colour precision and better dynamic range in portraits.
Aside from the cameras, design is one area where Realme is also emphasising a lot. The upcoming smartphones are designed by the Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa, who also was involved in the design process of phones like the Realme GT Master Edition.

Both phones will feature a redesigned leather back with a metal camera deco and a triple rear camera setup. It will bring Master Gold, Master Grey, Orchid Purple and Camellia Pink colourways to the smartphones.
As for the key specifications, while the Realme 16 Pro details are yet to surface online, a recent Realme 16 Pro+ specs leak gave us a good glimpse at the smartphone's peripherals. Here is what the phone will bring:
- 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED display
- Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor
- Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16
- 7,000mAh battery
- 50 MP main camera, 50 MP 3.5x periscope and 8 MP ultra-wide lens
That said, since the launch is happening in less than 15 days, expect more official details to surface shortly.
