Realme is gearing up to add yet another smartphone to its Realme 16 lineup, the Realme 16T. It is confirmed to launch in two days and ahead of that, the alleged Realme 16T price in India has leaked. Heads up, it's not exactly what you were probably expecting.
Realme 16T Price in India (Leaked)
In a new X post, tipster Abhishek Yadav has claimed that the upcoming Realme 16T will start in India from Rs 29,999 for the 6 GB + 128 GB option. It will also be reportedly available in an 8 GB + 128 GB model and an 8 GB + 256 GB configuration, costing Rs 31,999 and Rs 33,999, respectively.

If true, this translates to a whopping Rs 9,000 price hike compared to the Rs 20,999 launch price of the Realme 15T. Moreover, the 15T shipped with 8 GB of base storage and the top-end variant featured 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage and cost just Rs 24,999.
Hence, the upcoming Realme 16T is costlier than even that top-end model of the Realme 15T and that too for an alleged downgraded experience. The leaker claims that unlike the 15T's AMOLED display, the 16T will feature an LCD panel. It is also expected to downgrade from the Dimensity 6400 chipset, to the Dimensity 6300 processor.

While Realme has not yet revealed the chip and display material of the Realme 16T, it aligns with what they have mentioned on their product page. It mentions a 6.8-inch 144 Hz Sunlight Display with 1,200 nits of peak brightness.
We already know that the phone will feature an 8,000mAh battery and will bring 45W fast USB-C charging and reverse wired charging support. It is also confirmed to feature the camera module design of the Realme 16 Pro and bring the selfie mirror from the Realme 16.
As for the rest, Realme 16T will bring a 50 MP Sony IMX-852 main camera, Realme's LumaColor algorithm, Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 and several AI features like Ai Poout, Ai Boost and more. That said, with the phone launching in India on May 22, 2026, it is only a couple more days before it goes official. So, stay tuned.
