After Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo, it is now time for Realme to unveil its next-gen OS update based on Android 16. The brand has officially confirmed that a rough timeframe for when the Realme UI 7 update based on Android 16 will arrive in China.
Realme UI product manager Kanda Leo has made an official Weibo post announcing the arrival of Realme UI 7.0. The Android-16 based OS skin will go official on October 2025. It will be unveiled at a dedicated launch event in China.

While the exact date of release is still under wraps, the brand has officially confirmed that the upcoming Realme GT 8 series will become the first set of phones to ship with the Realme UI 7.0 software update.
Other than that, no other detail regarding the OS update has been shared at the moment. However, the official Realme Weibo confirmation post does say that Realme UI 7.0 will focus on being "light and airy", while delivering an interplay of "light and shadow" in its design.

Although nothing has been confirmed, we firmly believe that Realme UI 7.0 will draw heavy "inspiration" from Apple's Liquid Glass design language. Even the OS skin's logo on the teaser image has a very transparent and glass-like appearance.
To recall, introduced back in June 2025, Liquid Glass brought a clear and translucent 3D effect to the entire Apple interface. The design aesthetics here as well lean heavily on "light and shadow" interplay while gives iOS, macOS, iPadOS and so forth a "light and airy" feel.

So, we believe that the next Realme UI 7.0 update will do try to mimic Liquid Glass design principle across the UI. And it will not be alone to do so. We have seen ColorOS 16, HyperOS 3 and Vivo's OriginOS 6, all take a page from Apple's playbook. So, it is not surprising to see Realme follow the same footsteps.
That said, we will be sure to cover the Realme UI 7.0 official launch date announcement and the official launch of the OS release right here at Beebom Gadgets. So, stay tuned to this space for more updates.
