We already knew that Redmi was gearing up to launch its performance-focused K-series in China soon. Now, the brand has officially started teasing the Redmi K90 Max launch in China, which is expected to sit between the regular Redmi K90 and the top-tier K90 Pro Max. Ahead of its official debut, the brand has showcased the phone's design completely, giving us a first look at its sleek metallic build.
Redmi K90 Max Design Showcased
The Redmi K90 Max has been officially showcased on Weibo in the Space Silver colourway. It brings a metallic finish to the phone with a large edge-to-edge camera island. Although the design is similar to that of the Redmi K90 Pro Max, the upcoming phone still manages to stand out.

For starters, the dual cameras at the back are positioned vertically on the left side, while a physical cooling fan sits on the right end. It has a large grille at the front, which users can use to view the fan inside and additional airflow vents underneath the camera deco for optimal heat dissipation.
Redmi says that the K90 Max comes with a high-speed cooling mode, which can drop the phone's temperature by 10°C within 100 seconds. The smartphone also features an aluminium alloy frame with an ultra-narrow bezel design. Despite multiple cooling vents, the Redmi K90 Max is confirmed to feature an IP66 + IP68 + IP69 rating.
Redmi K90 Max Specifications (Expected)
Aside from the design and details about the cooling fan, Redmi has not officially dropped any of K90 Max's key details. It is said to feature a next-gen flagship processor and we believe it could be the Dimensity 9500 chipset.

At the front, the smartphone could feature a 1.5K OLED display but with a high 165 Hz refresh rate. It could also join the ranks of big battery Redmi phones with an 8,000mAh capacity and 100W fast USB-C charging support.
That said, Redmi has begun pre-orders for the Redmi K90 via its official Xiaomi China website. Interested folks can pre-reserve the smartphone for 9.9 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 140) and become eligible to receive a mystery package worth 3,600 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 48,500).
Redmi K Pad 2 Will Launch Alongside Redmi K90 Max
Alongside the Redmi K90, the sequel to the popular Redmi K Pad will also launch in China. The Redmi K Pad 2 has been shown off in three colourways and confirmed to feature an 8.8-inch 165 Hz display. Additionally, the upcoming tablet will be powered by the Dimensity 9500 processor.
