After a bunch of teasers, the Redmi Note 15 5G launch date in India has finally been confirmed. The phone, powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and featuring a commendable main camera, will launch in the country as early as next month.

Redmi took to its official India X handle to confirm that the Note 15 5G will launch in India on January 6, 2025. This falls in line with previous leaks which already hinted at this date. For those unaware, the India launch comes after almost five months after the Redmi Note 15 China launch.

The dedicated Amazon microsite is also updated to confirm a bunch of the Redmi Note 15 5G specifications. For starters, the upcoming phone will arrive with a 6.77-inch 120 Hz curved AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. The panel will also be backed by Hydro Touch 2.0 tech and TUV Triple Eye Care Certification.

In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 15 5G will feature a 108 MP primary rear camera shooter with OIS and support for 4K video recording. The phone will also be decently big on battery with a 5,520mAh unit fueling it, paired with 45W fast charging. Additionally, the brand promises 1.6 days of usage on a single full charge.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 15 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. As per the brand, this chipset will bring forth a "48-month lag-free performance". For those unaware, it's very close to its successor, the latest Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, in terms of performance. The phone has also been confirmed to sport an IP66 rating.

However, the Redmi Note 15 5G will most likely not be alone at launch, as the Redmi Pad 2 Pro India launch was also teased recently. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro global launch happened back in September 2025 itself and it will be the first Snapdragon 7s Gen 4-powered tablet to launch in the country.
