It has not even been three months since the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ launched in India and we are already hearing about its sequel, the Redmi Note 16 Pro+. It is expected to launch soon in China and India and the biggest highlight this time could be its battery capacity.
Redmi Note 16 Pro+ Could Pack a 10,000mAh Battery
As per known Weibo tipster, Digital Chat Station (DCS), the yet-to-launch Redmi Note 16 Pro+ is being prepped with an enormous 10,000mAh battery capacity. It will join the ranks of the Realme P4 Power, Honor Power 2 and the very recent Realme Narzo Power, to become one of the few phones to pack such massive capacity.

While DCS has not explicitly mentioned the phone by name, the post says "sub-series iteration". This designation has historically been used to refer to Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi and, in particular, its "Note" series. So, judging by that, we believe the leaker is talking about the Redmi Note 16 Pro series, specifically, the Note 16 Pro+.
However, this is just a speculation at the time of writing and should be taken with a grain of salt. DCS also says that the upcoming phone will support 100W fast USB-C charging and will rock a 200 MP main camera. This further confirms our suspicion since the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ offers identical specs.
That said, with Redmi releasing its new Note series in Q3 every year, we can expect the Note 16 Pro+ to go official by the end of August 2026 in China. It will then arrive in India, possibly by the end of 2026 or early 2027. Hence, we have a long time for sufficiently concrete details to emerge, so stay tuned.
