The Redmi Note 17 series China launch is set for July 14, 2026. Ahead of next week's unveiling, the brand has now shared the display and battery details of the Redmi Note 17 Pro, giving us a peek into its specifications.
Redmi Note 17 Pro to Feature 9,000mAh Battery and 1.5K Display
The official Redmi account on Weibo has confirmed that the Redmi Note 17 Pro will rock an impressive 9,000mAh battery, bringing a solid upgrade over the predecessor, the Note 15 Pro. The phone will also bring support for 67W fast charging as well as 22.5W reverse wired charging.
The brand is also promising complementary battery replacement for first-sale buyers. Shoppers will be able to swap the 9,000mAh battery for a bigger 10,000mAh capacity for a nominal fee if the battery health falls below 80% within five years. However, the upgrade will be completely free if users see an 80% drop in health within four years.
This is an impressive commitment from the brand and gives users a sense of assurance with their purchase. Backing the battery will be a 1.5K resolution display, which is confirmed to feature 3,500 nits of peak brightness for outdoor visibility. The panel will be able to get as dim as 1 nit under low-light conditions, a feature we have seen on premium phones like the Xiaomi 17 and the iQOO 15.
The brand earlier confirmed Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection for the Note 17 Pro. It will also come with comprehensive IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings. The phone could draw its power from the Dimensity 7500 chipset, sport a 50 MP main camera and ship with HyperOS 3 out of the box.

Besides specifications, Redmi has also showcased the design of the Note 17 Pro in a Sky Blue colour option. The phone brings a new brand identity to the "Redmi Note" design language and features a sqircle camera deco with dual cameras placed inside a pill-shaped cutout. It also features an abstract textured back panel, similar to the look of clouds or ocean waves.
The Redmi Note 17 series is confirmed to launch in China next week, at 7:00 PM CST (or 4:30 PM IST). The Note 17 Pro will be joined by the standard Redmi Note 17 and the rumoured Note 17 Pro Max. So, stay tuned.
