Last week, the Redmi Note 17 series China launch was confirmed for July 2026. Now, the official Redmi Weibo account has announced the exact launch date, with the lineup set to go official on July 14, 2026, at 7:00 PM CST (or 4:30 PM IST). Additionally, the brand has also revealed the design of the Redmi Note 17 lineup.
Redmi Note 17 Series Design
Both the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro feature a squircle rear camera island in the top-left corner, with the lenses housed inside a pill-shaped module. This brings a complete design departure from the Redmi Note 15 series in general and the signature "Redmi Note" look in particular.

The phone showcased on the left in the above image is confirmed to be the Pro variant, and it will come with dual rear cameras. Meanwhile, the standard Note 17 on the right only has a single rear camera. Both feature abstract textured back panels, resembling clouds or ocean waves.
Redmi has also shared multiple images of the Note 17 Pro from different angles, showcasing the new design and the colourway. The abstract blue hue is called "Sky Blue", and the brand says the phone derives inspiration from natural elements, bringing a new "sense of identity" to the smartphone.

All in all, the official details fall in line with the recent Redmi Note 17 series design leak that showcased both phones beforehand. Interestingly, the brand has not made any mention of the alleged Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, which is also expected to debut this year. So far, the confirmed details only speak of the Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro.
Redmi Note 17 Series Specifications
The brand has also made a separate Weibo post confirming that the Redmi Note 17 Pro will feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The phone has also received SGS and CQC Gold Label dual five-star drop resistance standards, further enhancing the smartphone's durability.

Other than that, the Note 17 Pro is expected to be powered by the fairly recent Dimensity 7500 chipset and bring a 1.5K OLED display, sport a 50 MP main camera and include a whopping 10,000mAh battery capacity.
As for the standard Redmi Note 17, it is tipped to bring a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display and could feature the new Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. In addition, the phone may sport a 50 MP main camera and pack a smaller 9,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
That said, the Redmi Note 17 series is launching next week and amidst the ongoing RAM crisis, it will be interesting to see how the lineup is priced. That will also give us an idea of how the phones will be priced in India. So, stay tuned for more official details to drop ahead of next week's launch.
