Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has launched a new tablet for all the content consumers and creative heads in the town. It's the Redmi Pad 2 Pro, which arrives alongside the Redmi Note 15. The tablet falls in the mid-range category, bringing quite a few improvements over its predecessor, all at a price that won't leave a dent in your wallet.
Redmi Pad 2 Pro Specifications and Features
Starting off with its display, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro features a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. It's a 16:10 display with 600 nits of peak brightness and Dolby Vision. With uniform bezels all around, the tablet boasts an all-aluminium build, weighing 610 grams and measuring 7.5 mm in thickness.

Driving the internals is Qualcomm's latest mid-range offering, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. It's an octa-core processor manufactured on TSMC's 4 nm manufacturing process and boasts 1x Cortex-A720 clocked at 2.7 GHz, 3x Cortex-A720 clocked at 2.4 GHz and 4x Cortex-A520 clocked at 1.8 GHz. On the graphics side is an Adreno 810 GPU.
Complementing the processor is up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which is expandable up to 2 TB with a built-in microSD card slot. Optics-wise, there's an 8 MP f/2 main rear camera that can record 1080P videos, and an 8 MP front f/2.28 camera for taking video calls. Audio-wise, the tablet features Quad speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Redmi has packed in a mammoth 12,000mAh battery that can charge at 33W. Connectivity-wise, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and a USB-C port, which is of USB 2.0 spec. It has all the basic sensors expected from a modern tablet, like Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Ambient light and more. There's also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.
The tablet ships with HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 out of the box, and Redmi promises two years of software updates and three years of security patches. The tablet ships in two variants – Wi-Fi-only and 5G with eSIM. Storage-wise, there are two variants on offer – 8 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB.

The tablet arrives in two colours – Silver and Graphite Grey, all of which will be available exclusively through Amazon, Flipkart and the official Xiaomi India website. The price of the base variant is Rs 24,999, while the higher Wi-Fi-only storage variant can be scored for Rs 27,999. The 5G variant with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storge on the other hand, will set you back Rs 29,999.

The first sale of the tablet starts from January 12, 2026, where buyers can get a flat Rs 2,000 off on select banks. In addition, the brand will also sell the folio case and stylus for the tablet for Rs 3,999 each.
